Niceville Sunset Stampede 5K Run/Walk
The Niceville Sunset Stampede 5K takes place at the Northwest Florida State College, specifically starting from the baseball parking lot. This evening athletic event supports the Niceville High School Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams. The event features two primary distances:
- 5 km run/walk
- 1 mile fun run / walk
The course involves some areas with limited lighting, and the event organizers encourage the use of glowing accessories. Participants receive various neon items, including glow necklaces, bracelets, and neon sweatbands. The event is open to participants with dogs and strollers, though it is recommended that these also be equipped with glow lights for visibility during the evening hours.
Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, as well as winners within specific age groups. Registration includes a race T-shirt for the first 270 registrants, with sizes guaranteed for those who complete their registration by July 10. Packet pickup is available at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice on the day of the event, as well as at the college parking lot prior to the start.
