Memorial Run in Fort Walton Beach
This memorial running event takes place on August 8, 2026 at Fort Walton Beach High School, 400 Hollywood Blvd NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL. The event includes a 5K run, a 5K walk and multiple kids fun runs for younger participants.
Pre-race offerings include donuts, bagels and fruit. Door prizes will be awarded to attendees who are present at the drawing, and separate prize drawings do not require presence. A post-race picnic follows the finish.
Registration includes early and race-day pricing with a no-shirt option available for a reduced fee; a reduced entry fee applies for the kids race. Race shirts are guaranteed only to the first 200 preregistered entrants. Packet pickup and race-day registration are available in the days before the event and at the high school on race day.
Awards are given overall for male and female finishers and in age-group categories for both runners and walkers. Scholarship opportunities are offered for rising high school seniors who plan to compete in collegiate athletics; an application is available through the event organizer.
