Funest 50k @ Carter Rd
An off-road race at Loyce E. Harpe Park in Mulberry, FL on April 17, 2027, offered in three distances and organized by Ultra Ultras Events.
- 50k five 10k loops
- 30k three 10k loops
- 10k single 10k loop
The courses run on mountain bike trails through an old phosphate mine area with rolling hills, sand and dirt surfaces, and many twists. The route is marked with over 600 course markers. Some sections can prevent maintaining a 10 minute per mile pace. The course is a 10k loop with three laps for the 30k and five laps for the 50k. A 10 hour overall cutoff corresponds to about a 19:20 minute per mile pace.
Aid and on-course support include electrolytes, soda and water at the start area and one aid station around the 3.5 mile point. The start and bib pickup are located at the park shelter near the park entrance at 300 W Carter Rd, Mulberry FL.
Entry for the 10k, 30k and 50k is limited to 125 runners for 2027. Awards include top three overall male and female and first masters male and female. All finishers receive socks, a finisher sticker and an award. Ten dollars from each registration is designated for Polk County Parks and Recreation.
