Funest 50K @ Carter Rd
Organized by Ultra Ultras Events at Loyce E. Harpe Park in Mulberry, FL, this event offers multiple trail distances on purpose-built mountain bike trails inside an old phosphate mine area. The courses run on sand and dirt trails with rolling hills and numerous turns, and the route is marked with over 600 markers.

The course is a 10k loop, run three times for the 30k and five times for the 50k. Aid is available with electrolytes, soda and water at the start area and at an aid station roughly 3.5 miles into the loop. The event has a 10 hour cutoff, which equals a 19:20 per mile pace. Field size is limited to 125 runners for the listed distances. Awards will be given to the top three overall men and women and the first masters man and woman. Every finisher receives socks, a finisher sticker and an award. Organizers indicate that participants should carry a charged phone in case of injury or navigation difficulty. Ten dollars from each registration is designated for Polk County Parks and Recreation to help maintain the park. Bib pickup is located at the park shelter on the entryway to Loyce E. Harpe Park.
