Long Haul Course Preview
Long Haul Course Preview is a training run and course preview for the 2027 LH100 held in Lakeland, FL on December 5, 2026. The event is organized by A1 Ultra Events and takes place at Colt Creek State Park.
The preview consists of one loop of 16.8 miles. The route will be marked with signs at major turns and additional confidence flags; these course markers, signs, and water stops will be removed at 1 pm. Participants are welcome to run beyond the single loop but should note marker removal times.
There will be water available at the run start and at the two on-course aid station locations used during the race. All on-course stops are unstaffed and will offer water only. Participants should bring any needed food and electrolytes and plan to keep drop bags or coolers in their vehicle, as the park is open to the public.
A group campground will be reserved on the night before the run for those who wish to camp. The campground is primitive with no water or electricity and is tent camping only. There is a park entry fee of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle to enter Colt Creek State Park.
Participants do not need to be registered for the 2027 LH100 in order to join this course preview. Organizers will share meeting location details closer to the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
