Long Haul Course Preview : course and logistics
This is a course preview and training run for the 2027 LH100 taking place on December 5, 2026 in Lakeland, FL, organized by A1 Ultra Events. The preview follows a single marked loop of 16.8 miles. Participants may run additional mileage, but course markers, signs, and water stops will be removed after midday, leaving only maps or personal navigation for route guidance.
A group campground is reserved for the night before the run. The campground is primitive: no water, no electricity, and tent camping only. Park entry requires a fee of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle.
The course will be marked and will include a few unstaffed on-course water stations in addition to water available at the run start and at two aid locations mapped for the race. These stops provide water only; participants should bring any needed food and electrolytes and plan to keep drop bags or coolers secure in their vehicles because the park is open to the public.
