Long Haul Course Preview - Course details
This is a course preview and training run for the 2027 LH100 held in Colt Creek State Park, Lakeland, FL, organized by A1 Ultra Events on December 5, 2026. Participation does not require race registration.
The preview follows a single loop of 16.8 miles. The course will be marked with signs at major turns and a few confidence flags; markers, signs, and water stops will be removed at 1 pm. Participants may run additional miles but should expect to navigate without course markings after removal and may use CalTopo for navigation.
A group primitive campground is reserved for the night before the run. The campground is tent camping only and has no water or electricity.
Park access requires a fee of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle to enter Colt Creek State Park. Water will be available at the run start and at the two on-course aid station locations used during the race; these stops are unstaffed and provide water only. Participants should bring their own food and electrolytes and plan to leave drop bags or coolers in their vehicles. Because the park is open to the public, personal items should be kept secure.
