Event Overview

The Freedom Four is a 4 Mile Run/Walk event taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event is presented by the Glen Ellyn Park District.

The start and finish for the 4-mile course is at Lake Ellyn Park, located at 645 Lenox Road in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Registration and Details

A portion of the event's proceeds will go to the Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks' Scholarship Fund, which supports access to recreation programs. Age groups start at 5 years and up.

Awards will be given to the top two male and female finishers in each age division after the race. Participants who register by the early bird deadline of June 20, 2026, are guaranteed a t-shirt. Those registering later will receive one while supplies last.

Packet pickup is available on pre-race days at the Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center on St. Charles Road. On race day, packet pickup and registration are available at Lake Ellyn Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
