Fort DeSoto Series
The Fort DeSoto Series takes place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Fort DeSoto Park in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The program includes multiple race formats: triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike offered at sprint and international distances.
Event distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: S .25 mi, B 10 mi, R 3.1 mi
- Sprint Duathlon: R .7 mi, B 10 mi, R 3.1 mi
- Sprint Aquabike: S .25 mi, B 10 mi
- International Triathlon: S .5 mi, B 20 mi, R 6.2 mi
- International Aquabike: S .5 mi, B 20 mi
The swim takes place in salt water and is visible to spectators. The bike course is described as 100% traffic free. International distance athletes complete two laps on the bike and run, while sprint distance athletes complete one lap.
The run follows a scenic 5K route through the park with views of the Gulf of Mexico. Spectators have opportunities to watch competitors along the course and near the finishing chute.
