Forres Harriers 10k 2026
The event is a 10 km road race in Forres on 09 May 2026, incorporating the North District 10k Championships. The course starts on the road at Waterford Industrial Estate and is described as flat and fast; the route was amended in 2023 and is not suitable for wheelchair users due to road conditions and safety.
Registration takes place in Forres House Community Centre on the High Street, with approximately a 20 minute walk from the centre to the race start. The usual pedestrian crossing across the railway is closed; participants heading to the start need to use the new road bridge to the left of the railway station or the small bridge at the station, and should take care crossing the busy A96.
Roads on the race route are not closed for the event, so runners must be aware of traffic. Headphones of any type are prohibited for insurance and safety reasons; anyone observed wearing headphones will be removed from the race and results. There will be a race safety briefing at the start to cover safety issues and questions.
There are no water stations on the course and toilets at the start and finish are very limited. Prize giving will be held at Forres House Community Centre with trophies and cash prizes for the first three male and female finishers and awards in veteran age categories.
