Event overview
The Moray Way 100 is an ultra trail race of 100 miles held on Saturday 27 June 2026. The race starts and finishes in Forres and follows a route that links the Moray Coastal Trail, the Speyside Way, and the Dava Way. The race has a maximum of 100 entries, an entry fee of £100, and a overall cutoff of 30 hours.
Route and race format
The course begins in Forres and moves to the coast, running along dunes, beaches, coastal cliffs, and forest tracks. It passes through Roseisle Forest, Burghead, Hopeman, Covesea, Lossiemouth, Kingston, and Fochabers, then follows the Speyside Way through Craigellachie, Aberlour, and Grantown-on-Spey, before returning to Forres via the Dava Way. The route includes a mixture of tarred paths, clifftop trails, beach sections (tide dependent), forest trails, and some road or town sections. Aid stations are located at Lossiemouth (aid station 1), Fochabers (aid station 2), the Speyside area (aid station 3), and Grantown (aid station 4). The event is described as mainly self-sufficient.
Full route files and an official race handbook will be provided to competitors, and GPX files are available in advance.
Participation
Entry is limited and open to people aged 18 or over with experience in ultra distance running. The organiser notes that the event requires endurance and that competitors should prepare accordingly.
Volunteers
