Moray Coastal Trail Races
The Moray Coastal Trail Races take place on 8 May 2027 and comprise two trail ultramarathon distances along the Moray coastline in Scotland. Courses follow established sections of the Moray Coastal Trail and finish at Cullen Viaduct.
- 50 mile Ultra: 50 miles, Findhorn to Cullen Viaduct
- 50 km Ultra: 50 km, Lossiemouth to Cullen Viaduct
The routes pass coastal and woodland terrain, including Burghead Bay, Roseisle Forest, extensive clifftop walking into Lossiemouth, Spey Bay and a series of former fishing villages. Notable landmarks on the course include Bow Fiddle Rock, dinosaur footprints and the Spey Bay dolphin area. Aid stations are fully stocked and drop bags are available; the 50 km race allows two drop bags.
Cutoff times and entry details are published for each race. The 50 mile race has a 16 hour cutoff and the 50 km race has a 10 hour cutoff. Each race has an entry limit of 150 runners and minimum age is 18. Entry fees are listed as £80 for the 50 mile race and £55 for the 50 km race.
