Moray Coastal Trail Races
The event comprises two trail races that follow sections of the Moray Coastal Trail along the northeastern Scottish coast. The routes pass wide sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, coastal formations and former fishing villages, and the area is known for its seafood.
Race options include:
- 50-Mile Ultra: Full journey along the Moray Coastal Trail.
- 50km Ultra: Shorter distance showcasing the coastline highlights.
The course visits several named locations along the coast. The route includes the coastline at Findhorn, a forest section overlooking the sea, Lossiemouth and its clifftops, Spey Bay where dolphins can be seen, and finishes in Cullen. Pre-race transport is provided from Cullen to the respective start points: a bus to Lossiemouth for the 50km and a bus to Findhorn for the 50-mile race.
Entry names are listed as Moray Coastal 50km and Moray Coastal 50. The description focuses on the landscape and route features rather than event timing or personal stories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
