About the race
Moray Coastal Trail Races is a two-distance ultramarathon along Scotland’s Moray Coastal Trail. In 2025 the event introduced a 50-mile Ultra (Forres to Cullen Viaduct) and a 23-mile Trail (Lossiemouth to Cullen Viaduct). The course threads dramatic coastlines—from Findhorn and Burghead Bay to clifftop sections near Lossiemouth, Spey Bay (dolphins), Buckie’s shipbuilding heritage, and picturesque fishing villages ending at Cullen Viaduct.
Runners benefit from fully stocked aid stations and drop bags, with cutoffs of 16 hours for the 50-mile and 8 hours for the 23-mile. The race offers a stunning coastal route, challenging terrain, and a welcoming volunteer and supporter community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
