Event Details

The Moray Coastal Trail Races feature two ultramarathon distances along the Moray Coastal Trail in Scotland. The event takes place on Saturday, 9th May 2026.

Race Distances

There are two ultramarathon distances:

  • 50-Mile Ultra: A race along the Moray Coastal Trail from Findhorn to Cullen Viaduct.
  • 50km Ultra: A race along the Moray Coastal Trail from Lossiemouth to Cullen Viaduct.

Both routes showcase coastal scenery, including wide sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, and fishing villages.

Course Information

The 50-mile ultra starts at the Universal Hall in Findhorn, known for its eco-community. The 50km ultra starts at the East Beach Bridge in Lossiemouth. Both races finish at Cullen Viaduct. The course passes through forested areas, clifftop paths, Spey Bay, and former fishing villages.

Participation and Logistics

Entry is limited to 150 runners per race. Aid stations with supplies are available for both distances. Drop bag facilities are also provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
