Multi-Sport Event Overview
The Finish Line Racing Multi-Sport Events take place at Fort De Soto in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This USAT sanctioned event offers various competitive disciplines focusing on swimming, cycling, and running. The courses utilize the natural landscape of the fort and surrounding park areas.
The schedule includes traditional triathlon distances as well as alternative formats for multi-sport athletes. Participants can select from several categories:
- International Triathlon (Individual and Relay)
- Sprint Triathlon (Individual, Relay, and Athena/Clydesdale)
- Sprint Duathlon (Individual and Relay)
- Sprint Aqua Bike
Course components vary by event, including a .80 mile duathlon run course, a 5k run for sprint events, and a 10k run for the international distance. The bike portion for sprint categories consists of a 1-lap course.
Registered athletes receive a finisher medal, T-shirt, bib boards, a custom bib, and a choice of a reusable silicone cup. Early registrants are also eligible for a coffee mug. For those new to multi-sport racing, a first-timer athlete class is held at a local bike shop in Saint Petersburg on the day prior to the race. This session provides information on preparation and race procedures. All participants must pick up their packets during designated times at the local partner store or at the venue on the morning of the event.
