Explorer Turkey Trot
Explorer Turkey Trot is a community running event held in Hudson, Ohio at 83 N. Oviatt St. The event offers multiple participant options and channels proceeds to the Hudson Athletic Booster Club to support student-athletes, teams, equipment, and related programs.
Distances and formats include:
- 5K Run
- One-Mile Loop
- Kids Dash on the Memorial Stadium track
Pre-race registration for the 5K and the One-Mile Loop is $40. The Kids Dash registration fee is $20. Hudson City Schools teachers, staff, and students receive a $5 discount. All participants who pre-register will receive a short-sleeve Bella & Canvas race t-shirt. Packet pickup details are to be announced.
The 5K route begins at the Middle School, proceeds downtown, and returns to the school for the finish. The One-Mile Loop provides a shorter course option. The Kids Dash takes place on the stadium track inside Memorial Stadium. Awards are given to the top male and top female winners.
Organizer fundraising data is included with the event. In the prior year the booster club awarded more than $115,000 in grant funding and provided four scholarships of $2,000 each to student-athletes. These funds are used for equipment, uniforms, training, and educational resources. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
