Event Overview
The Hudson Turkey Trot 4-Miler is an inaugural Thanksgiving Day running event held in Hudson, Ohio. Organized by the Hudson Athletic Booster Club in partnership with Friends of Hudson Parks, the race serves as a fundraiser to support local student-athletes and community park initiatives. The event features two distinct distances:
- 4 Miles: The main running race through the city of Hudson.
- 400m: The Wobble 'till You Gobble Fun Run designed for children.
Course Details
The 4-mile course begins and ends in front of the Hudson Middle School. Participants navigate a route that winds through the school complex and continues toward North Hayden Parkway. The path leads down Aurora Street and passes through portions of the Western Reserve campus. Runners then travel south on State Route 91 into the downtown Hudson area before returning to the middle school to complete the circuit.
Participant Information
All registrants receive a race t-shirt, race socks, and a finisher medal. Parking is available throughout the school complex, though space directly at the middle school is limited. The event includes competitive elements, with the top three male and female finishers receiving pumpkin pies as prizes. Proceeds from registration fees are utilized for athletic equipment, uniforms, training resources, and scholarships for students, as well as for the conservation and promotion of the Hudson park system.
