Even Splits York 5K (13 November 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly 5 kilometre race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. Races run from February to November on a flat, road circuit laid out as five laps. The course is chip timed and EA licensed, with results published on Power of 10. Entrants receive a text message with their finish result as they cross the line and kilometre splits are published the next day.
Entry options are single race entries at £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds 5K events; this number is collected from Registration. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be used again if recorded on the entry form. All entrants are entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; additional replacements are charged at £4.
The race has an entry limit of 200 places and is listed as suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities at the Race HQ include water stations, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred.
