EvenSplits York 5K : November 2026
The EvenSplits York 5K is a monthly road race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit from February to November. The event covers 5 kilometres over five laps on a flat cycle circuit. The course is road surface and suitable for wheelchairs.
Races are chip timed and England Athletics licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Finish line results are sent by text and kilometre splits are published the next day. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish.
Entry is limited to 200 places. Single race entry fees are listed as £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners, and entry on the day is not available. Bulk entry options are offered in advance. First time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds events; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period, with subsequent replacements charged at £4.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage. A place may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds or transfers are permitted.
