Even Splits York 5K (November 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly series held from February to November at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The course is on road, flat in profile and run as five laps to cover 5 kilometres. Races are chip timed; results are sent by text at the finish and kilometre splits are published the next day. Results appear on Power of 10.
Entry is limited to 200 runners. Single race entry prices are listed as £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners; entry on the day is not available. Bulk entry options are available in advance. When entering for the first time, an entrant is assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be used at the York and Leeds 5K events; this number is collected from Registration at the first race. Previously issued red 5K race numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The race is stated as suitable for wheelchairs and a race licence has been applied for. Finishers receive a chocolate bar. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. Entries are non refundable and non transferable.
