Even Splits York 5K
The Even Splits York 5K is held monthly from February to November at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The measured 5 Kilometres course is on road, flat in profile and run over five laps. The event has an entry limit of 200 places; at the time of listing there were 179 places remaining. Entry on the day is not available.
Racing is chip timed and EA licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text and kilometre splits are published the next day. First-time entrants are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can also be used at York and Leeds 5K races; this number is collected from Registration on first attendance. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements incur a £4 charge.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race HQ is University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, YORK YO10 5FG. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds or transfers are permitted.
