Event Overview
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly race held from February to November. It takes place on the flat, five-lap cycle circuit at the University of York Sport Village.
Race Details
The event is a chip-timed, EA-licensed 5 km road race with a maximum of 200 participants. The course is described as flat. It is suitable for wheelchair users. Results are sent via text message upon finishing, and kilometre split times are published the following day. Finishers receive a chocolate bar.
Registration and Fees
Entry is online only and closes at 10:00 on race day. There is no entry on the day. The entry fee is £10.00 for affiliated runners and £12.00 for unaffiliated runners. A reusable race number with an embedded timing chip is issued upon first entry. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement per 12-month period.
Facilities
Available facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. Race headquarters are at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit.
Event Policies
Places may be deferred once to the next available race in the same calendar year, if requested at least three days before the original race. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred to another runner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
