The York 5K on 13 November 2026 is organised by Even Splits at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit in York. The race distance is 5 kilometres on a road course that is flat and run over five laps of the cycle circuit. The event is chip-timed and holds an England Athletics licence, with results appearing on Power of 10.

Entry and race rules

Entry is paid in advance; entry on the day is not available. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day. Single-race fees are £10.00 for affiliated runners and £12.00 for unaffiliated runners. The event has an entry limit of 200 places (195 remaining at the time of listing). Entrants receive a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be used at York and Leeds 5K events. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020-25 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4. Deferral is allowed once to the next race the entrant can attend in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and places cannot be transferred.

Timing, results and facilities

Results are sent by text when runners cross the finish and kilometre splits are published the next day. Facilities listed for the event include water stations, distance markers and toilets.
