EvenSplits York 5K
The EvenSplits York 5K takes place monthly from February to November at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The event is run on a flat, fast road circuit and covers 5 kilometres over five laps.
Races are chip timed and EA licensed; results appear on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text as runners cross the line and kilometre splits are published the following day. A small finish token is provided to finishers. The event records and reuses race numbers with embedded timing chips; first-time entrants collect their number at Registration. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; further replacements incur a £4 charge.
Entry is limited to 200 places. Entry fees are listed as £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is not available. The organiser’s race licence is applied for and the course is listed as suitable for wheelchairs.
Facilities at Race HQ include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race HQ is the University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, York YO10 5FG. Entrants may defer their place once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred.
