Chase The Pud York is an annual festive run held on The Knavesmire, organised by the British Heart Foundation York Fundraising Group. The event supports the British Heart Foundation and has been organised by the group for around 20 years.
Distances:
- 10 km chip timed, road course
- 3 km untimed option
The main course is a flat road route on the racecourse, run as 3 and 1/3 laps. The event has an entry limit of 300 places. Entry fees listed include individual 10 km and a team option for up to five people; on-the-day entry may be available at an additional charge if the event has not sold out.
Facilities at Race HQ on York Knavesmire Service Track near the Knavesmire Road entrance include toilets and distance markers. Water stations are located at 1 km and 4 km. Organisers note there are no changing rooms or showers, and no formal baggage storage; bags may be left at the gazebos at the participant’s own risk. Santa outfits are supplied in adult, youth, and child sizes but cannot be guaranteed for on-the-day entries.
There is no lower age limit, but children are the responsibility of parents or guardians; children under 11 must be within arms reach of an adult. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
