Event overview
Chase The Pud is a festive road event held on the Knavesmire at York Racecourse and organised by the British Heart Foundation. The event invites participants to dress as Santa and attempt to catch a Christmas pudding character. A free Santa suit is included with entries; on-day entrants cannot be guaranteed a suit. The event supports fundraising for the British Heart Foundation and notes local figures for heart and circulatory conditions in York.

Course and facilities
The course is on road and described as flat. The race is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race HQ is at the York Knavesmire Service Track near the Knavesmire Road entrance. Facilities include toilets, distance markers and water stations. Water is available on course at 1 km and 4 km. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no official baggage store; bags may be left at the event gazebos at the owner’s risk.
Entry and limits
Standard entry for the 10K is £20.00. If the event has not sold out, on-the-day entry may be available for an additional £2.00. The event lists an entry limit of 300 places with 265 remaining at the time of the listing. Children have no lower age limit, but under-11s must be within arm’s reach of an accompanying adult.
