Even Splits York 5K (October 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is held monthly from February to November at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit in Heslington East, York. The course is a flat road circuit run over five laps for a total distance of 5 kilometres. Entry is limited to 200 runners; at the time of this listing 175 places remain.
Races are chip-timed and results appear on Power of 10. A race licence has been applied for. Each entrant receives a race number with an embedded timing chip when they first race; the same chip number can be used at York and Leeds 5K events. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be used again in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed per 12 month period; subsequent replacements cost £4.
Facilities at Race HQ include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. A small food item is provided at the finish. Entry on the day is not available.
Entry fees include race and administration charges. Prices for York single race entry are £10 affiliated and £12 unaffiliated. York Race Pass for the Oct–Nov period is £18 affiliated and £22 unaffiliated. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
