Even Splits York 5K
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly road race held at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit from February to November. The course is flat and consists of five laps covering a distance of 5 kilometres. The organiser uses electronic timing with an embedded chip; results are published on Power of 10, finish-line results are sent by text, and kilometre splits are published the next day.
Entry is limited to 200 places and available online only. Single race prices vary by affiliation status and there is a multi-race pass option for October and November. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds 5K events; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may also be reused if recorded on the entry form. One free race number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period; further replacements incur a fee.
Facilities at the Race Headquarters include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing rooms, no showers and no baggage storage. Deferral of a place is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. All entries are non refundable and places cannot be transferred to another runner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
