Even Splits York 5K (October 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly road race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. Races run from February to November on a flat five-lap circuit designed for fast 5 km times. The event is chip timed and EA licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Runners receive a text with their finish result as they cross the line and kilometre splits are published the next day. A chocolate bar is provided at the finish.
Entry options include single race entries and a short race pass covering the October to November races. Prices listed for York are: affiliated single entry £10, unaffiliated single entry £12, affiliated Race Pass £18, unaffiliated Race Pass £22. Entry on the day is not available. When first entered, runners are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds events; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be reused if recorded on the entry. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements are charged at £4.
The race has an entry limit of 200 and the organiser has applied for a race licence. Facilities at the venue include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage. Deferral of a place is permitted once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and places cannot be transferred.
