EvenSplits York 5K (October 2026)
The event is a monthly 5 km road race held at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. The circuit is flat and run over five laps. The races are chip timed and hold an England Athletics licence. Results are sent by text as runners cross the finish line and kilometre splits are published the next day. Facilities at the race headquarter include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The course is suitable for wheelchairs. Entry is limited to 200 places and 128 places were listed as remaining.
There are two races on the evening: an Open race available to all entrants and a Super Sprint race restricted by predicted times for men and women. Eligible runners may choose which race to enter. First time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds 5K events and is collected at Registration. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 can be used in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is permitted in a 12 month period and additional replacements are charged at £4. Entry options and fees vary by affiliation and by single race or short race pass. Entry on the day is not available. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
