About the race
The Altra Yorkshire 10 Mile is a road race held on Sunday 18 October 2026 that starts and finishes at the University of York. The route passes city landmarks including York Minster, continues through the village of Stockton-on-the-Forest, follows Murton Way and returns toward University Road for the finish. Included for entrants are a finisher medal, chip timing, a goody bag and an optional finisher t-shirt. Entrants must be 18 years or over on the day of the race.
The event has sold out and no entries will be available on the day. The Event Village is on the University of York Campus West and will host food and drink concessions, partner charities and a race office. Baggage drop is located on University of York Campus South and baggage labels are attached to race numbers. Postal race number arrangements have a deadline after 28 September, with race number collection also available at the Race Office on the event weekend. Water stations on course provide 330ml bottles and recycling bins are provided at each water station.
First aid is available at fixed stations near water points, with a first aid unit, recovery unit near the finish and roaming first aiders around the Event Village. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will carry flags showing finish times. Photographers will be on course and results are published after the event. Sustainability measures include trainer drop off with JogOn and encouragement to travel by public transport or park and ride; road closures will be in place to facilitate the event.
