Altra Yorkshire Marathon
The Altra Yorkshire Marathon is a road marathon held in and around the city of York. The race distance is 26.2 miles. Entrants must be 18 years or over.
The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag and an exclusive medal. There is an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt with sublimation print and iTAB. Race numbers are normally posted about two weeks before the event; race numbers will not be posted to addresses outside the UK and can instead be collected from the Race Office on event weekend. Baggage may be left in a designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip from the race number.
On course there are water stations providing 330ml bottles and Applied Nutrition energy stations offering hydration tablets, isotonic drinks and energy gels. Fixed first aid stations are located near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery area close to the start and finish and roaming first aiders around the Event Village. Pacers with finish time flags are available on course.
The Event Village offers food and drink for purchase and hosts partner charities. Toilets are provided around the stadium and there is a zero tolerance policy for urinating outside allocated facilities. Recycling bins will be provided on course and there are trainer drop-off stations at the Race Office. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
