EvenSplits York 5K (August 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly five kilometre road race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The course is flat and run over five laps on a traffic free circuit. Runners are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip for use at York and Leeds 5K events.
Races are chip timed and results are sent by text at the finish, with kilometre splits published the next day. The event provides water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Finishers receive a chocolate bar.
Entry is limited to 200 places. Single race fees are listed at £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. A race pass covering multiple events from August to November is available with prices from £34 to £40 depending on affiliation. Entry on the day is not available. When entering for the first time runners collect their chip race number from Registration; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Entrants may defer their place once to the next available race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. All entries are non refundable and race places cannot be transferred. One free number replacement is permitted within a 12 month period; further replacements incur a charge.
