Event Details
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly road race held on a closed cycle circuit at the University of York Sport Village. The course is flat, consisting of five laps, and is suitable for wheelchair users.
The event is chip-timed and licensed by England Athletics. Results are sent by text message immediately upon finishing and kilometre splits are published the following day. A chocolate bar is provided at the finish line.
Registration and Fees
Online entry closes on race day. Entry on the day is not available. Race numbers with embedded timing chips are issued upon first registration and can be reused for both York and Leeds 5K events.
Entry fees for a single race are £10.00 for affiliated runners and £12.00 for unaffiliated runners. Multi-race passes for the August to November period are available for £34.00 (affiliated) and £40.00 (unaffiliated).
Facilities
Available facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store.
Policies
Places may be deferred once, to the next available race in the same calendar year, if requested at least three days before the event. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred to another runner under any circumstances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
