EvenSplits York 5K (August 2026)
The EvenSplits York 5K takes place on Friday 14 August 2026 at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit in York. The organisers run the event monthly from February through November on the same circuit.
The course is a 5 kilometre road circuit with a flat profile run over five laps and is stated as suitable for wheelchairs. The event is chip timed; results are sent by text at the finish, kilometre splits are published the next day, and results appear on Power of 10. The race licence is listed as applied for.
Entry is limited to 200 runners. Single race entry fees are listed as £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. A race pass covering August to November is offered at £34 affiliated and £40 unaffiliated. Entry on the day is not available. First-time entrants are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip to use at both York and Leeds 5K; this number is collected from registration. Previously issued red 5K race numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. One free replacement number is permitted per 12 month period, with subsequent replacements charged at £4.
Facilities at the race include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race headquarters is at the University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, YORK YO10 5FG. Entrants may defer their place once to the next race they can attend in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
