Even Splits York 5K at University of York Sport Village
The Even Splits York 5K series runs monthly from February to November on the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The course is a road circuit described as flat and comprises five laps covering 5 Kilometres. The event is listed as suitable for wheelchairs and has an entry limit of 200 places.
Races are chip timed and EA licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text as runners cross the line and kilometre splits are published the next day. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish.
Entries are issued under a single race fee or a multi-race pass for the August to November block. Single race fees are £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. Race pass prices for August to November are £34 for affiliated runners and £40 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is not available. When entered for the first time a runner is assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be used at York and Leeds 5K events; this number is collected from Registration on first attendance. Previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements are charged at £4.
Facilities at the race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The race HQ is University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, YORK YO10 5FG.
Deferral and refund policy notes that a place may only be deferred once to the next race the entrant can attend in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
