Even Splits York 5K (AUG '26)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly, chip-timed road race held at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. Races run from February to November on a flat, five-lap cycle circuit covering 5 kilometres per race. The event is EA licensed and results appear on Power of 10; finish-line results are also sent to runners by text and kilometre splits are published the next day.
Entry options include single race entries and a multi-race pass covering the August to November series. Published fees for a single York race are £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. The York Race Pass for Aug–Nov is listed as £34 for affiliated runners and £40 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is not available. A race number with an embedded timing chip is issued to first-time entrants and can be reused for York and Leeds 5K races; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements are charged at £4.
The field is limited to 200 entrants. The course is suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred.
