The Leeds 5K takes place on 23 September 2026 at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Leeds LS16 8NA. The event distance is 5 kilometres, run as three laps on a flat road course. The races are chip-timed. Results are sent by text at the finish and mile splits are published the next day. Race licence is listed as applied for. The event is marked as suitable for wheelchairs. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day.
Course and facilities
The course is road-surfaced, flat and run over three laps. On-course and venue facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage.
Entry, fees and policies
Entry is limited to 200 runners; remaining places were listed as 199. Single-race entry fees are £10.00 (affiliated) and £12.00 (unaffiliated). A race pass for Sep-Nov is £26.00 (affiliated) or £31.00 (unaffiliated). Entry on the day is not available. First-time entrants receive a race number with an embedded timing chip for use at Leeds and York 5K; this is collected at Registration. Previously issued RED 5K race numbers from 2020-25 may be reused in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. Each entrant is entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4. Places may be deferred only once to the next calendar-year race if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds and no transfers are permitted. Organiser: Even Splits.
