Event
The Leeds 5K takes place on 23 September 2026 at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Leeds LS16 8NA. The race is organised by Even Splits and runs as part of a monthly series held from February to November. The event is chip-timed and EA licensed, with results appearing on Power of 10. Finish-line results are sent by text and mile splits are published the next day. Finishers receive a chocolate bar.
Course and facilities
The course is a 5 Kilometres road route, flat, run over three laps. The event has an entry limit of 200 runners and is marked as suitable for wheelchairs. On-course and venue facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers, and no baggage store.
Entry, timing and policies
Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip to collect at registration; previously issued RED 5K numbers (from 2020-25) may be reused if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements cost £4. Prices include fees and admin: single affiliated £10, single unaffiliated £12, Leeds Race Pass (Sep-Nov) affiliated £26, unaffiliated £31. Entrants may defer a place once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred.
