Event overview
The Leeds 5K on 27 May 2026 is a monthly, traffic-free road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Leeds LS16 8NA. The race distance is 5 Kilometres run over three laps on a flat course. The event is chip-timed and is EA licensed; results appear on Power of 10. Finish-line texts are sent to runners as they cross, and mile splits are published the following day. The race is suitable for wheelchairs and has an entry limit of 200 participants, with 191 places remaining at the time shown. A race licence has been applied for.
Entries, fees and facilities
The event is organised by Even Splits. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Single race fees are £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. A Leeds Race Pass for May to November is available at £52 affiliated or £63 unaffiliated. When entered for the first time, runners are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip for use at Leeds and York 5K; numbers are collected from Registration. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period, then replacements cost £4. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before the race. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred.
