EvenSplits Leeds 5k
The Leeds 5K is a monthly road running event held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The race takes place on a traffic-free circuit and follows a 5 km distance. The course is flat and consists of three laps, making it suitable for wheelchair users.
The event is chip-timed and licensed by England Athletics, with results appearing on the Power of 10. Participants receive their finish times via text message immediately after crossing the line, and mile splits are provided the following day. All finishers receive a chocolate bar upon completion of the race.
The venue, Bodington Playing Fields, provides specific facilities for participants including:
- 5 km road course
- Water stations
- Distance markers
- On-site toilets
There are no changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage areas available at the Race HQ. Registration is required in advance as there are no entries available on the day. Participants are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip during their first entry, which can be reused for other events in the series at Leeds and York. The entry limit for this event is set at 200 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
