Event Details
The EvenSplits Leeds 5k is a monthly, traffic-free 5-kilometre road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. Races are scheduled from February through November.
The Course
The event features a flat, three-lap road course. It is suitable for wheelchairs. The race is chip-timed and licensed by England Athletics, meaning results appear on the Power of 10 database. Results are sent by text message immediately after finishing, and mile split times are published the day after the race.
Registration and Fees
Participants receive a reusable race number with an embedded timing chip upon their first entry, which can also be used at the York 5k events. There is an entry limit of 200 participants. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day; entry on the day is not available.
Entry fees are:
- £10.00 for affiliated runners (single race)
- £12.00 for unaffiliated runners (single race)
- £52.00 for an affiliated Race Pass (May-November)
- £63.00 for an unaffiliated Race Pass (May-November)
All entrants are entitled to one free number replacement per year; subsequent replacements cost £4.
Facilities
Available facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. Race headquarters are at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields.
Key Policies
The organiser states that there are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred to another runner.
