Leeds Half Marathon
The Leeds Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 09 May 2027 with the start and finish at AMT Headingley Stadium. The route passes the University of Leeds, runs north into Meanwood and goes past Golden Acre Park before returning on Leeds Road to the stadium. The event began in 2003 and has a history of fundraising, raising thousands of pounds for charity.
Entrants must be aged 17 years or older on race day. Included for participants are a finisher medal, chip timing, a goody bag and an optional finisher t-shirt. Race numbers are posted to the registered address 7 to 10 days before the event; the deadline to change an address is six weeks before the race. Bags larger than an A4 sheet are not permitted inside the stadium and baggage must be handed in at the designated store with the baggage label from the race number attached.
On course there are water stations providing 330ml bottles, Applied Nutrition isotonic drinks and energy gels at dedicated nutrition stations. Fixed first aid stations are located near water stations, and a first aid unit and recovery area will be near the start and finish. Pacers with flags showing target finish times will be on the course. Toilets will be available and the organiser enforces a zero tolerance policy on urinating outside designated facilities.
An Event Village will offer food and drink for purchase and host partner charities. Sustainability measures include recycling bins at water stations and shoe drop off points run with JogOn. Bone conducting headphones are permitted but should be worn at low volume; an official partner is noted for bone conduction equipment.
