Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon
The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon is a full marathon of 26.2 miles that starts and finishes at Headingley Stadium and runs through parts of Leeds and nearby towns. The course passes north through Meanwood, around Golden Acre Park, then through Bramhope and Otley before returning via Leeds Road to the stadium.
The event raises funds for the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal and the Motor Neurone Disease Association; participants may also fundraise for other partner charities. Entrants must be 18 years or older on the day.
Included for finishers are a medal, chip timing, a goody bag and an optional finisher t-shirt. Race numbers are posted 7 to 10 days before the event; address changes must be made at least six weeks beforehand. Only the registered entrant may wear a race number; unauthorised number use can result in disqualification.
On event day there is an Event Village with food and drink for purchase and charity stands. Baggage larger than an A4 sheet is not permitted inside the stadium; bags should be dropped at the designated baggage store with the supplied baggage label. Toilets will be available around the stadium and on the course. Water stations will supply 330 ml bottles and recycling bins are provided at each station. Applied Nutrition energy stations and fixed first aid points will be located on the course. Bone conducting headphones are allowed if volume is low.
