Event Information

The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon is a full marathon event named in support of former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2019. The event raises funds for the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal and the MND Association, though participants can choose their own charity to support. The first edition had over 10,000 participants.

The event is organized by Run For All. Entrants must be at least 18 years old on the event day.

Location and Route

The race starts at the AMT Headingley Stadium in Leeds. The course takes runners through some of the city's scenic countryside and outer suburbs.

On the Day

The event includes chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, an exclusive finisher's medal, and an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. Friendly pacers will be on the course, and there will be water stations offering bottled water, as well as Applied Nutrition energy stations providing hydration tablets, isotonic drinks, and gels.

There is an Event Village with food and drink available for purchase. A baggage storage facility is provided, using the tear-off strip from the race number. Medical personnel and first aid stations are available on the course and in the Event Village.

Participants are asked to use the recycling bins provided on the course. The organizers also have a shoe recycling scheme with JogOn, where old trainers can be dropped off at the Event Village.

Travel and Spectators

Travel options include bus, train, and bicycle. Cycle racks are available at the stadium. Park & Ride and city centre bus ticket information will be announced closer to the event date. Spectator information for AMT Headingley Stadium will also be available later.

Other Information

Race numbers are posted approximately two weeks before the event. Address changes can only be made up to six weeks prior. Overseas participants can collect their number from the Race Office on the event weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
