Erie Playhouse Ghostlight Halloween 5K
The Erie Playhouse Ghostlight Halloween 5K is a festive 5K run and walk hosted by the Erie Playhouse in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. The course covers 3.1 Miles and moves through the downtown area with participants, volunteers, and spectators often in Halloween or theatrical costumes.
The event includes live music provided by Millennium Sound, professional timing by Big White Trailer, and event photography. Registered participants receive an official race shirt, a swag bag, course photos, post-race refreshments, and admission to the vendor fair. Participants must register by October 17 to be guaranteed a shirt; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt and will not receive a discount for missing the shirt deadline. Registration uses a tiered fee schedule: Early Bird August 5 through August 31 at $35, Standard September 1 through September 30 at $40, and Final October 1 through October 31 at $45. Costume prizes are awarded in categories for Best Couple, Best Group (three or more), Best Kid Costume (under 18), Best Adult (18 and up), and Best in Show. Performance awards are given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers, with age group awards in the following brackets: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; and 70 and over.
