EPIC North Walsham 5K Race information
EPIC North Walsham 5K is a UK Athletics affiliated, officially measured 5 km road race based at North Walsham Memorial Park, NR28 9AY. The start line is by the tennis courts and Race HQ is located next to the start line. Race HQ opens at 6pm and there is no parking at the Memorial Park.
Race numbers will be posted by Total Race Timing about a week before the event for those who paid for postage. Race numbers can also be collected from Race HQ on the evening. The timing chip is attached to the race number; numbers must be fixed to the front of the running top and be visible while running.
There will be no race briefing on the evening. The route is all on road once leaving the Memorial Park and has been officially measured by UKA. Runners must keep to the right-hand side of the road throughout, as only that side is closed; residents have been informed of closures and runners should remain aware of any traffic.
There is a baggage drop at Race HQ. Only bone conduction headphones are permitted under UK Athletics guidelines. Dogs are not allowed to run. After the race participants receive an EPIC medal and can use water dispensers with compostable cups. The event links to a Fun Weekend in the Memorial Park with refreshments, live entertainment and a fun fair. Toilets are provided in the park.
