EPIC North Walsham 5K
EPIC North Walsham 5K is one of the EPIC 5K Races organised by EPIC Norfolk. The event takes place in North Walsham Memorial Park, with the start line by the tennis courts (NR28 9AY). The course is an all-road route once it leaves the park and has been officially measured by UK Athletics.
Race numbers are either posted by Total Race Timing to those who paid for postage or collected from Race HQ on the evening. The chip-timing is attached to the race number, so numbers must be fixed securely to the front of the running top and visible while running. A baggage drop will be available at Race HQ.
Runners must keep to the right-hand side of the road at all times because that is the only side that is closed for the route. Residents have been informed of the road closures and runners should remain aware of any traffic.
There is no parking at the Memorial Park. Free parking options include North Walsham Sports Centre Car Park (Spenser Avenue, NR28 9HZ) and Bank Loke Car Park (off Grammar School Road, NR28 9JN) which is free after 6pm. Public toilets are located opposite North Walsham Library, just outside the park.
Only bone conduction headphones are permitted under UK Athletics guidelines. No dogs are allowed to join runners. All entrants must be at least 11 years or over. Entries include chip-timing and a bespoke race medal; entries are non-refundable and transfers can be made via Total Race Timing before the transfer deadline. The event is supported by sponsors Ernest Doe, Birchwood Medical Practice and The Dashing Chimney Sweep. The race is linked to a Fun Weekend with refreshments, live entertainment & a fun fair in the Memorial Park, and water with compostable cups is provided after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
