Worstead 5
North Norfolk Beach Runners organise the Worstead 5, the 38th edition of a 5 miles road race held on undulating local roads in Worstead. The event is the eighth race in the Sportlink Grand Prix Series and is run under UK Athletics rules on a measured and certified course that will be UK Athletics licensed.
The route leaves the village square onto country lanes, includes a loop near Sloley, and returns to the village square for the finish. Roads used are not closed to traffic. Local residents provide support along the course. First aid and medical cover are available at the start and finish.
Entry information states separate prices for affiliated and unaffiliated runners and a minimum age of 15 years on race day. Race numbers are posted in advance. All finishers receive a medal. Cash prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers and trophies are given for first to third in age categories from Junior U18, Senior, and then 40 through to 80 plus in five year bands. A mixed team prize for registered clubs is calculated from the cumulative time of the first two male and first two female club runners.
Clubs may bring gazebos to the festival arena. Free car parking is available at postcode NR28 9SD. Pets and pushchairs are not permitted and headphones including bone conduction devices are not allowed. Entries are non refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are permitted until 10 July 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
