EPIC North Walsham 5K - Race information
EPIC North Walsham 5K takes place in North Walsham Memorial Park, with the start line located by the tennis courts (NR28 9AY). Race headquarters is situated next to the start line and provides number collection on the evening of the event. Race numbers posted to entrants who paid for postage are sent out by Total Race Timing about a week before the race. All race numbers must be attached securely to the front of the running top because the chip-timing unit is fixed to the number and must be visible while running.
The route is an all-road course once it leaves the Memorial Park and has been officially measured by UK Athletics. Runners must keep to the right-hand side of the road at all times because that is the only side closed for the whole route; residents have been informed of the road closures. Participants should remain aware of any traffic that may be present.
There is no parking at the Memorial Park. Free parking options include North Walsham Sports Centre Car Park on Spenser Avenue and Bank Loke Car Park off Grammar School Road. A baggage drop is available at Race HQ. Only bone conduction headphones are permitted in line with UK Athletics guidelines. Dogs are not allowed to run with competitors.
After the race, entrants receive an EPIC medal and can use water dispensers and compostable cups. The event links to a Fun Weekend with additional refreshments, live entertainment and a fun fair in the Memorial Park. Public toilets are located opposite North Walsham Library just outside the park.
This event is UK Athletics affiliated; entries include chip-timing and a bespoke race medal, and entrants must be at least 11 years old. Entries are non refundable and transfers are handled via Total Race Timing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
