Empower Wellness Run 5k and 1 Mile
Hosted by the Kern High School District, the Empower Wellness Run takes place at Hart Memorial Park in Bakersfield, California. The event is held within Section 2 of the park, located near the east entrance. This community gathering is open to the public and includes participants of various physical activity levels.
Participants can choose from two different distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The event features specific registration categories for the general public, Kern High School District staff and their spouses, and children aged 18 and under. For the 5k, awards are provided to the top three finishers in each age group for both male and female categories. Additionally, cross-country style scoring is utilized to determine a winning team among district staff sites.
The event atmosphere includes music and various vendors on-site. Participants are provided with post-race drinks and snacks. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register by April 6. All event materials, including participant packets, are distributed on the day of the race at the park location rather than through prior pickup.
