Bakersfield Mothers Day Run
The Bakersfield Mothers Day Run is an annual athletic event held at The Park at River Walk in Bakersfield, California. Currently in its third year, the event recognizes mothers and other women through fitness activities. Participants can choose between different race formats depending on their preferences for competition and timing.
The available distances and categories include:
- 5k Run: A timed running race covering 3.1 miles.
- 2k Walk: A non-timed walking event approximately 1 mile long.
- Virtual Run: A flexible option completed at any location on the participant's own schedule.
Participants in the timed 5k Run are eligible for age group awards. The 2k Walk is strictly a non-competitive event and does not provide official timing or awards. For those participating in the Virtual Run, results are not posted officially, but the event shirt and medal are sent via mail.
All finishers in the physical events receive a custom finishers medallion. While chocolate products are provided to those attending in person, these items are not included in the mailings for virtual participants.
