Course, awards and amenities
The half marathon course is out-and-back and the 5K turns around at 1.56 miles. The course is described as flat. Age-group awards are offered for the half marathon (top 3 in each age group U-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) and for the 5K (1st place in each age group). Kids races award trophies to the top three boys and girls and all kids receive a shirt and medal. Athena and Clydesdale categories are recognized for women 185 lbs and men over 225 lbs. Participants receive a shirt and a finisher’s medal; half marathon finishers also receive a pint glass. Food and beverage items listed for participants include tacos and aguas frescas. Music and folklorico dance entertainment are part of the event. Packet or bib pick up is available only on race day at the race location.
