Elves for Enka 5K
Elves for Enka is a community running event on the campus of Enka High School in Candler, North Carolina (475 Enkla Lake Road). The event includes a 5K race and a 1/4 mile fun run for children. The 5K is a new addition to the program and follows an out-and-back route that winds through trails surrounding the high school and offers views of the campus surroundings. Both runners and walkers are welcome.
The event raises funds for the Elves for Enka program, which is entering its 15th year and provides holiday gifts and essentials to students in need. The program supports approximately 200 students per year, and proceeds from the 5K will contribute to those efforts.
Registration details listed by the organizer show open registration beginning October 23, 2026, and closing December 5, 2026. The listed registration fee is $25.00 for the 5K and $0.00 for the 1/4 mile fun run. The children's fun run notes that a character called the Grinch may make an appearance.
