Elan Valley 10 Mile Road Race
The event is a 10 mile road race set in the Elan Valley, scheduled for 31 October 2026 with race headquarters at the Elan Valley Visitors Centre. Registration and race HQ are at the Visitors Centre, which is about a five minute walk from the start. Parking, a cafe and toilet facilities are available at the Visitor Centre; the car park fills quickly so car sharing is advised.
Entry is limited to participants aged over 17 on race day. Entry fees are £20 for Welsh Athletics affiliated runners and £22 for non affiliated runners, with an additional £3 discount for Rhayader Running Club members; a small booking charge applies and a service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) is charged per sign-up. A UKA race licence has been applied for.
There are no road closures on the course. The race uses chip timing and has a three hour cut off. The course is undulating and is unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. There are two water stations on the course and marshals will be in place; organisers will ask for a predicted race time at registration to help plan volunteer locations and timing. Race numbers and timing chips are collected at the registration desk. Entries close at midnight on 26 October 2026 and total places are limited to 200. Transfers to another runner are allowed via the entry system before 26 October 2026; there are no cancellations or deferrals once entered.
