Nant Yr Arian Silver Trail Races
The Nant Yr Arian Silver Trail Races take place on 14 March 2026 at Nant Yr Arian in the Cambrian Mountains. The event is organised by Aberystwyth Athletic Club and is run as a not-for-profit that supports local charities. Entries are open from 22 March 2025 and close on 4 March 2026. Transfers are allowed only while entries are open; race deferrals are not possible.
Race details and facilities
The event offers trail distances for adults and juniors. Adult distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
Junior options:
- 0.5 mile for under 7s (must be accompanied by an adult)
- 1.5 miles for ages 7-11
- 2.6 miles for ages 12-16
Routes are fully signed and waymarked, with GPX files available as backup. The Half Marathon has two feed stations; the 10 km has one. A basic level of mandatory kit is required because the races take place in mountain terrain. The event village provides hot and cold food, speciality coffee and healthy food options. Race hoodies and T-shirts are available to purchase during registration. An optional XCover insurance product is offered for possible refunds in certain circumstances.
