Rhayader Round the Lakes
Rhayader Round The Lakes is a long-running road race based in Rhayader, Powys, Wales, featuring two distances: 30km and 10km. Both routes traverse the Elan Valley, offering some of the British Isles’ most scenic countryside. The 30km course is described as challenging and exposed to weather at higher elevations, while the 10km loop takes runners to the Elan Valley and back.
Roads are open to traffic during the event. The races are organized and run by dedicated volunteers and are a notable contributor to the local economy, encouraging visitors to shop, eat, and stay in Rhayader and explore the Elan Valley. Participants collect timing chips and numbers at Rhayader Leisure Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
