Rhayader Round the Lakes 2027

Rhayader Round The Lakes stages two road races based in Rhayader, Powys, set in the Elan Valley. The event has run for over 40 years and is organised by volunteers. A race licence has been applied for.

The longer course is a 30 km road race that runs through the Elan Valley. The route passes higher exposed sections where weather can affect conditions and is described as challenging. The shorter course is a 10 km road race that goes out to the Elan Valley and returns to Rhayader town. Roads will remain open during both races.

30 km: through the Elan Valley; route is challenging and exposed to weather.
10 km: out to the Elan Valley and back to Rhayader town.

Entry details include set fees for each distance and a cut off date for transfers and entries at 12 noon on Friday 13 February 2026. There are no refunds and no deferrals. Competitors collect race numbers and timing chips from Rhayader Leisure Centre either the evening before the event or on race day between 9:00am and 10:45am.
