Rhayader Round the Lakes 2027

Rhayader Round The Lakes comprises two road races based in Rhayader, Powys, in the Elan Valley. The event has been held for over 40 years and is organised by volunteers.

The races use public roads that remain open during the event. The longer course of 30 km runs through the Elan Valley countryside and includes higher, exposed sections that are affected by weather. The 10 km route goes out to the Elan Valley and returns to the town.

Practical details: entries have defined deadlines and there are no refunds or deferrals. Transfers and entries are subject to a stated cut off date. Race numbers and timing chips are issued from Rhayader Leisure Centre either on the Friday before the event or on race day. A race licence has been applied for.

Entry fees are listed for each distance and availability is indicated. The organisers note that the races contribute to the local economy of Rhayader through visitor spending on shopping, accommodation, food and drink.
