Rhayader Round the Lakes 2026

Rhayader Round the Lakes takes place on Saturday 7 March 2026 in Rhayader, Powys, set around the Elan Valley (LD6 5BU). The event includes two road race distances and has been based in Rhayader for over 40 years. The races are organised by local volunteers.

Race details and logistics

Distances:

30 km - road race through the Elan Valley countryside.
10 km - out-and-back route to the Elan Valley and return to town.

The 30 km route is described as challenging and exposed to weather on higher sections. Roads will remain open during the races. A race licence has been applied for. Entries close at 12:00 on Friday 13 February 2026; the same deadline applies for transfers. Entry fees listed are £30 plus service fee for the 30 km and £15 plus service fee for the 10 km. There are no refunds and no deferrals. Race numbers and timing chips can be collected from Rhayader Leisure Centre on Friday 6 March between 18:00 and 20:00 or on race day between 09:00 and 10:45.
