Rhayader Round the Lakes 2027
Rhayader Round The Lakes comprises two road races based in Rhayader, Powys, set in the Elan Valley. The event has been held for over 40 years and is organised by volunteers. A race licence has been applied for.
Both courses run on open roads. The longer route passes through the higher countryside of the Elan Valley and is exposed to weather on its upper sections. The shorter route is an out and back from Rhayader into the Elan Valley and returns to the town.
Entry fees are published for each distance: 30 km entry is £30 and 10 km entry is £15. Transfers and entries have a published cut-off; there are no refunds and no deferrals.
Race numbers and timing chips are collected locally at Rhayader Leisure Centre during designated collection periods before and on race day. The organisers note the event contributes to the local economy by bringing visitors who use shops, accommodation, and food and drink outlets in and around Rhayader.
