Event overview

Rhayader Round the Lakes is a road race event in Rhayader, Powys, set around the Elan Valley (LD6 5BU). It includes two distances and has been based in Rhayader for over 40 years. The races are organised by volunteers. Roads will remain open during the races. A race licence has been applied for.

30 km - road course through the Elan Valley, with exposed higher sections.
10 km - out-and-back route to the Elan Valley and back to the town.

Logistics and entry

Entries close on Friday 13 February 2026 at 12:00 PM. The event states there are no refunds and no deferrals. The published entry fees are £30.00 plus service fee for the 30 km and £15.00 plus service fee for the 10 km. The same 13 February deadline is given as the cut-off date for transfers and entries. Race numbers and timing chips can be collected at Rhayader Leisure Centre on the evening before the race (Friday 6 March, 18:00-20:00) or on race day (Saturday 7 March, 09:00-10:45).
