El Paso Sunrise Series

Sunrise Series (El Paso, 2026)

The Sunrise Series is a multi-date running series in El Paso consisting of four live 5K races and four corresponding virtual 5K events held between May 30 and July 18, 2026. Events take place at multiple locations across the city; the first live event is at Ascarate Park and remaining live locations will be announced by the organizers. A portion of proceeds supports the Child Crisis Center of El Paso. With a minimum $15 donation participants and community members become eligible for a raffle to win Oakley Meta glasses; the drawing is scheduled for the Season Finale on July 18, 2026. Virtual participation is available for each date.

Finishers receive a custom Sunrise Series puzzle medal, with one puzzle piece awarded at each live location; completing all four live events completes the medal. Each event features giveaways and some events include shirt giveaways; shirts and sizes are guaranteed only to the first 565 registrants on or before May 1, 2026 for events that include shirts.

Awards at live events include top three age group placings in these categories: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over. The series also recognizes the overall fastest males and females across the series and the largest teams. Race expos at events include vendor areas, raffles, refreshments and a free photo booth sponsored by a local law office.

Registration opened February 14, 2026 and closes when events sell out or on the Friday before each event. Organizers provide packet pickup the Thursday and Friday before each event; there is no race day packet pickup. The course welcomes wheelchairs and strollers. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, wagons, scooters and motorized devices are not permitted. Pets are allowed on leash and must be cleaned up after.
