Event Overview
The El Paso Sunrise Series is a running event series featuring four 5k races that take participants across El Paso from east to west. The 2026 series includes in-person events on May 30, June 13, June 27, and July 18, as well as corresponding virtual race options. A portion of the proceeds benefits the charity partner, the Child Crisis Center of El Paso.
Registration and Fees
Registration for each in-person event is priced at $35. A discount is available for those who register for the full series of four races. The series sold out the previous year.
Participant Perks
Participants receive a custom Sunrise Series medal, with add-on pieces available for each event completed. Completing all four events assembles the full medal. Each event features a unique giveaway, such as shirts, guaranteed for the first 550 registrants. A post-race runner's party includes paletas, water, vendors, and music. A free photo booth is provided at all events.
Awards and Competition
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each division at every live event. Custom awards are presented to the overall fastest male and female participants of the entire series, as well as for the largest teams. These series awards are presented at the season finale. There are no awards for virtual events. Strava segments are available for each race.
Course and Participation Rules
The course is open to wheelchairs and strollers. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, wagons, scooters, and motorized devices are not permitted. Leashed pets are allowed.
Logistics
Packet pickup occurs on the Thursday and Friday before each event. There is no race day packet pickup. Registration for an event closes when it sells out or at 7:00 PM on the Friday before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
