The Edison Festival of Light 5K is scheduled for February 21, 2026 in downtown Fort Myers, FL (2310 Edwards Dr, 33901). The course runs along streets of downtown Fort Myers and precedes the Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade. Spectators for the parade are estimated at 200,000 (est.). Proceeds benefit the Edison Festival of Light, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports arts, culture and history in Fort Myers and Southwest Florida.
Logistics and awards
Pre-race packet pick-up is set for February 19, 2026 at a location to be determined; on-site packet pick-up is available on race day at 2310 Edwards Dr. The first 400 participants are guaranteed a unisex dry-fit shirt. Timing uses ChronoTrack Bib Tag technology; the timing strip is attached to the race number and should not be removed, folded or covered.
Registration pricing:
- Adult: $30 on or before January 9, 2026; $35 January 10 - February 20, 2026.
- Youth: $15 on or before January 9, 2026; $20 January 10 - February 20, 2026.
- Race day: $40 for all ages. A 20% membership discount from the Fort Myers Track Club applies to pre-race registration only.
Awards include overall awards (top male and female based on gun time), masters and grandmasters categories, age-group awards three deep based on chip time, and team awards with rules for male, female, and school teams.
