Event overview
The Fort Myers Turkey Trot 5K is the 46th annual Thanksgiving Day event organized by the Fort Myers Track Club in partnership with the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. The event takes place in Fort Myers, FL, with the course starting on McGregor Boulevard and ending at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- Tot Trot (100 yd, 6 & under)
Chip timing is provided using ChronoTrack Bib Tag Technology. Proceeds benefit the Edison and Ford Winter Estates Preservation Fund and Kimmie's Recovery Zone, a 501(c)(3).
Registration, logistics and rules
Registration fees are tiered: adult and youth fees increase after October 31. Tot Trot entry is listed as $10. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by November 5, 2025. The deadline to be guaranteed a shirt size is November 10, 2025; shirts are available for the first 4,000 registered participants and sizes are limited with no exchanges. Fort Myers Track Club members receive a 20% discount on entry fees. There is no race-day registration; race day packet pick-up is available.
Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled on multiple dates at listed local locations. Awards will not be presented on race day and will be available for pick-up the day after the event at Fleet Feet during operating hours. Unregistered participants, unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, roller blades, skates, skateboards, strollers and pets are strictly prohibited; baby joggers are permitted at the back of the field.
