Eastside Beltline 12K-3K
The Eastside Beltline 12K-3K is the final stop of the Atlanta Beltline race series, presented by Resurgens Orthopaedics and produced by Atlanta Track Club. The route travels along the Eastside Beltline and passes through Piedmont Park, Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market. The event offers two course options:
- 12K competitive course for ages 13 and up.
- 3K noncompetitive course for ages 7 and up, where dogs and strollers are allowed and start in a separate wave.
Course time limits are specified: the 12K has a two hour limit (about a 17 minute per mile pace) and the 3K has a 50 minute limit (about a 25 minute per mile pace). For safety, wheeled conveyances and pets are not permitted on the 12K; headphones are strongly discouraged. Race numbers and shirts are distributed on race morning and a long sleeve shirt is listed as event swag.
Awards and placements apply to the 12K only, with overall winners recognized and age group awards for the top three males and females in each age group. The Eastside event is part of the four race Race the Loop series that awards a commemorative medal to participants who complete all four events in person.
Event policies note that races are held rain or shine, though severe weather may cause delay or cancellation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
