Eastleigh 10K 2026
The Eastleigh 10K celebrates its 41st anniversary in 2026. Organised by the Eastleigh Running Club alongside local community groups, the event is held in Eastleigh and uses the Facilities at Places Leisure Eastleigh on Passfield Avenue. The race is a prominent fixture in the regional calendar and was recognized among the top ten 10K races in the country by Runners World in 2024.
The course is a 10 km road route described as fast and flat. The final 700 metres of the race take place on a cycle route within Fleming Park. Due to the nature of the terrain, the event is often used by participants aiming to record personal best times. The race is held under UK Athletics rules, and participants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the event.
Available distances:
- 10 km road race for participants aged 15 and over.
- 1.2 km fun run for children aged 4 to 12 years old.
The event centre provides various amenities including bag storage, toilets, showers, and refreshments. Participants also have access to information points and t-shirt collection areas. All finishers receive a commemorative 41st anniversary race medal. While a high tech t-shirt is available for purchase, a non-t-shirt entry option is also provided. The event supports local causes including Wessex Heartbeat and the Mayor of Eastleigh's Charity Appeal.
Timing is conducted via a chip timing strip attached to the back of the race number. Awards are presented for age categories as well as the Dave Blackman Achievement awards, which recognize runners who achieve the largest percentage improvement over their previous year's performance.
