Wight Lines
Wight Lines is a mixed terrain running event on the coastal path at Milford on Sea. The course passes Sturt Pond Nature Reserve and offers views across to the Isle of Wight. The route is an out and back course made up of laps.
All finishers who complete one lap or more receive a medal. Laps measure 5.3 km each. Participants may choose a target distance that ranges from 5K to ultra marathon. The event is licensed by the TRA and is run under UKA rules. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules.
Race day arrangements include on the day number pick up at race registration before starting. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start and finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups; participants are expected to use their own drinking container.
Public toilets are available at the start and finish area and at points along the route. Paid parking is available at the start and finish. Organisers note that local bus services have limited runs at weekends and that the nearest train stations are New Milton and Lymington Town.
