Wight Lines
Wight Lines is a mixed-terrain running event on the coastal path at Milford on Sea. The course runs along the coast and takes in Sturt Pond Nature Reserve, with views across to the Isle of Wight. The route is an out-and-back lap of 5.3 km (3.28 miles).
Participants may choose their own overall distance, from short distances up to an ultra-marathon. All finishers of one lap or more receive a medal. Race registration and number pick-up take place on the day before starting.
An aid and drinks table is provided at the start and finish of each lap, offering a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is also an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not supply plastic cups. Public toilets are available at the start and finish area and at points along the route.
The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; UK Athletics distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under. Paid parking is available at the start and finish. Organisers encourage use of public transport or car sharing; a local bus service serves the area and the nearest train stations are New Milton and Lymington Town.
Entry was listed at GBP 39.50. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
