East Lothian Triathlon Festival 2026
The East Lothian Triathlon Club presents a one-day festival in Haddington on 30 Aug 2026 with seven races: Sprint Triathlon Relay (Scottish National Relay Championships), Sprint Triathlon Individual, Novice Triathlon Individual, Sprint Duathlon Relay, Sprint Duathlon Individual, Novice Duathlon Individual, and a 10km run.
Swims for the sprint events are in the Aubigny Sports Centre pool. Sprint triathlon swim distance is 750 m; novice triathlon swim is 200 m. Sprint bike routes use largely quiet country roads around Haddington and are non-drafting; TT bikes are permitted. Novice bike routes are shorter. Run courses use mainly pavements beside Haddington’s riverside in 2.5 km loops; the 10 km event is two laps of a 5 km loop starting at Neilson Park and passing wooded riverside sections including Agnes Burn Well.
Entrants must be at least 16 years old. All bikes must be roadworthy and helmets are compulsory; competitors ride on roads open to traffic and must follow the Highway Code. Swim waves are seeded by estimated swim time; entrants will be asked to confirm or update that estimate two weeks before the event. Races are conducted under Triathlon Scotland rules. Places are allocated first come first served until each event reaches its allocation and the closing date for entries is 16 Aug 2026.
