East Lothian Triathlon Festival 2026
The East Lothian Triathlon Club presents a multi-discipline festival in Haddington on 30 Aug 2026, featuring seven races across triathlon, duathlon and running. Swim sessions take place in the Aubigny Sports Centre pool; bike and run legs use local roads and pavements around Haddington.
Events on the day include Sprint and Novice triathlon, Sprint and Novice duathlon, relay versions of the sprint events and a 10km run. Key course details given by the organiser: the sprint triathlon uses a 750 m pool swim, a bike route of about 24 km on quiet country roads, and two laps of a 2.5 km run course. The novice triathlon uses a 200 m pool swim, an 11 km bike route and one 2.5 km run lap. Duathlon formats pair 2.5 km run laps with the same bike routes as above. The 10 km run follows two laps of a 5 km loop from Neilson Park, passing riverside and wooded sections.
Racing follows Triathlon Scotland rules; the bike course is non-drafting and time-trial bikes are permitted. All bikes must be roadworthy and helmets are compulsory. Roads will remain open to traffic; competitors must obey the Highway Code and race rules. Relay teams are three people and entrants must be 16 or older. Entry is first come first served with an entry closing date of 16 Aug; detailed pre-race information will be emailed to entrants in the week before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
