Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival 29th and 30th August 2026
Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival takes place in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, centred on Beveridge Park and Dunnikier Park with additional sections along the coastal path and the refurbished Waterfront. The weekend programme includes a half marathon, trail races and a child friendly fun run, and an event village with family activities and planned merchandise for 2026.
Event distances
- Half Marathon
- Trail Race, approximately 5 km and 10 km
- K107 Superhero Fun Run for children (pay as you please; suggested donation £3)
The half marathon route passes through Beveridge Park, Dunnikier Park, Ravenscraig Park, the coastal path and historical Dysart, and features a mix of hills, flats and downhills with about 236 m of elevation. The trail races start within Dunnikier Park and use one or two laps of a roughly 5 km circuit. Trail surfaces include grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge, so appropriate footwear is advised.
The K107 Superhero Fun Run is designed for children to complete at their own pace; walking aids and support are permitted and bikes and scooters are not allowed for safety reasons. Volunteers provide course safety and encouragement. K107FM provides live coverage and information on rolling road closures. Maggie's Fife is listed as the festival charity partner.
