Event overview
Dusk To Dawn is an overnight running event organised by Mad Running Junkies at Bridgend Miniature Railway, Fountain Road, Aberkenfig, Tondu, Bridgend CF32 9BZ. The event is a timed 12-hour challenge held on Saturday 18 July 2026. Participants attempt to complete as many laps as possible of the supplied routes within the 12-hour period. The overall winner will be the competitor who completes the most loops and total mileage.
Course and format
The event uses three separate looped routes, each about 10 miles, which participants may repeat as many times as they wish during the 12 hours.
The course is mixed terrain with limited road sections, a downhill forestry trail that can be technical, and several hills. Routes will be marked with flags and glow sticks. Organisers may provide a GPX file but advise not to rely on it as fully accurate. On each lap runners must get a card stamped and return to Base Camp to receive instructions for the next loop.
Practical information
Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 17 July 2026. Entry options listed are: Entry only (£65.00) and Entry & T-shirt (£95.00). On-site facilities include parking, toilets, hot and cold drinks and snacks, a medical team, and event trophies or medals and a swag bag. Volunteers are offered free entry to one event.
