The Merthyr Half Marathon
The Merthyr Half Marathon follows an undulating course around Merthyr Tydfil and the surrounding countryside. The route uses the Trevithick Trail and the Taff Trail and is predominately on road and tarmac with a short trail section. The event starts and finishes at Merthyr College, where baggage drop and toilet facilities are provided.
The event is organised by Merthyr Running Club. There is a four hour cut off time for the half marathon. All half marathon entrants receive a finishers medal, a t-shirt and a goody bag. Race packs are not sent by Royal Mail; they can be collected on the day or the day before the event. The organiser offers an optional XCover purchase to allow possible refunds for unforeseen circumstances.
