The course begins high on Hawk Ridge with views toward Lake Superior, follows a hillside route and descends Seven Bridges Road. The route crosses a series of forest bridges, reaches the shore of Lake Superior, and continues along the Lakewalk for the second half before finishing near Duluth Running Co.
The event uses the theme "Bridging the Gap" as a metaphor for gaps women face, including pay and accessibility gaps. Organizers work with the Entrepreneur Fund (501c3). All donations and funds raised from the event support women entrepreneurs by providing resources to build and grow sustainable businesses.
