NorthShore Inline Marathon
The NorthShore Inline Marathon is an inline skating event weekend in Duluth, Minnesota, scheduled for September 19, 2026. The event offers multiple race formats on a point to point course that follows portions of the North Shore route along Lake Superior. Courses include a fully closed section of I-35 and passages through the Duluth tunnels, with generally gentle elevation and long shoreline views.
Races organized as part of the weekend include:
- Marathon (26.2 miles) skate
- Half marathon (13.1 miles) skate
- Tunnel 10k skate
- Mike Lufholm Combined 39.3 skate
The weekend also features other disciplines: a rollerski marathon and half marathon, and separate running events such as a half marathon and a 10k. The event is part of the World Inline Cup as a PremiumClass race and is described as North America’s only WIC event; organizers list $15,000 in prize money for participants, limited travel support for WIC teams, and up to 120 WIC ranking points available.
Additional race-weekend elements include a Rollerblade Health Expo and packet pickup at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center with more than 70 vendors. Registered participants receive event items such as a custom finisher medal, a 2026 bib with name, and a finisher shirt. Awards include podium placement for top three finishers in age groups.
