NorthShore Inline Marathon
The NorthShore Inline Marathon is a point to point inline skating event held in Duluth, Minnesota on September 19, 2026. The event program includes multiple disciplines: inline skating races, rollerski events, and running races. Courses run along portions of the North Shore route beside Lake Superior and include a fully closed section of I-35 plus passages through the Duluth tunnels.
Race options for skaters include:
- Full Marathon skate
- Half Marathon skate
- Tunnel 10k skate
- Mike Lufholm Combined 39.3 skate
Other disciplines on the weekend include the Aspirus Half Marathon run, the Finden Marketing Tunnel 10k run, the Finnsisu Rollerski Marathon, and the Marwe Rollerski Half Marathon. The inline marathon is part of the World Inline Cup as a PremiumClass race with $15,000 in prize money, limited travel support for WIC team members, and up to 120 WIC ranking points available.
Event weekend features an expo at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center with over 70 vendors. Registered participants receive a custom finisher medal, a 2026 bib with their name, a finisher shirt, and race entry benefits that include Oktoberfest access. Awards are given by age group with podium places for top finishers. The event has drawn several thousand participants in past years and stages multiple waves and competition categories for elite and recreational skaters.
