Aspirus Health Half Marathon and Finden Marketing Tunnel 10k
The NorthShore Run program includes two road races that use Duluth shoreline roads and portions of Interstate 35. The Aspirus Health Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile point-to-point course that runs along the North Shore of Lake Superior, moves onto I35 for the final miles, and finishes beside St. Louis Bay at the William A. Irvin freighter. The Finden Marketing Tunnel 10k is a 6.2 mile closed course that passes through six I35 tunnels and returns alongside St. Louis Bay to the same finish area.
Both courses highlight the lakefront route into Duluth and feature sections on the interstate that are closed to traffic for the event. The Tunnel 10k includes live music along the route. The Tunnel 10k does not offer bussing; participants are advised to use local parking at the DECC and meet on the interstate overpass near the Depot for the start area.
Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles - point-to-point half marathon along the North Shore.
- 6.2 miles - Tunnel 10k circle route through six I35 tunnels.
