Event Overview
The Downey 5K for TLC is the 14th annual run/walk event. Its purpose is to benefit the Downey Unified School District's TLC Family Resource Center.

The in-person event takes place at Apollo Park in Downey, California. The date is Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Event Details
The main event is a 5K run/walk. There are four registration options:
- In Person 5K
- In Person 5K DUSD Student (for students aged 1-18)
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 5K DUSD Student (for students aged 1-18)
Registration for the in-person event will close once 1,500 participants are registered. Same-day registration may be available pending capacity.
Registration & Logistics
Early registration (by January 31, 2026) includes a free T-shirt. A discount of $5 is available for the first 100 registrants using a specific coupon code. Bib pick-up is scheduled for three days prior to the event at the TLC Family Resource Center on Bellflower Blvd in Downey.
