The Downey 5K for TLC takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Downey, California. It is the 14th annual 5K run/walk and benefits the Downey Unified School District's TLC Family Resource Center. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options, each covering a distance of 5K.
Registration and logistics
Available event categories include in-person 5K, in-person 5K DUSD student, virtual 5K, and virtual 5K DUSD student. Standard registration fees shown are $38.10 (including a $3.10 fee) for general entries and $27.50 (including a $2.50 fee) for DUSD student entries. Fees increase after January 31, 2026. A free T-shirt is offered for registrations completed by January 31, 2026. The first 100 registrants may use a coupon code for a $5 discount. Registration will close at 1,500 participants and same-day registration is listed as pending availability. Virtual entries can be completed from any location.
BIB pick-up is scheduled at the TLC Family Resource Center, 13220 Bellflower Blvd., Downey, with pick-up dates the week before the race (February 25–27, 2026).
