Turkey Trot 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon : Van Nuys, Woodley Park
The event takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 26, 2026, at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa Van Nuys. It offers multiple distance options on a looped out and back course that uses pedestrian paths and a tunnel for the finish. The course is described as easy to follow and includes one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start.
Distances:
- 5k one loop
- 10k two loops
- 15k three loops
- Half marathon three loops of 4.36 miles each
Aid stations are available on every loop and provide water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. The event is an open course and participants should be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. Everyone must finish through the pedestrian tunnel and must not cross Woodley Avenue.
Included with registration are a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 36 hours, and a selection of snacks and samples. There is a stated time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes; requests for additional time are handled by the organizer. Transfers are allowed by contacting the organizer and there is a no refund policy.
Parking is available in the park lots off Woodley Avenue and Victory Boulevard with additional overflow dirt parking near the golf course. Bib pick up is offered the day before at the park and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
