LA Turkey Trail - November 26, 2026
The LA Turkey Trail is a trail running event in Los Angeles, CA, held in the Santa Monica Mountains and staged from the Top of Reseda Trailhead toward the Nike Missile Tower. Courses run entirely on fire roads and singletrack with views that include the Valley, the ocean and distant San Gabriel peaks.
Distances offered:
- 1/2 Marathon : 13.67 miles, 2,323' gain
- 10k : 6.7 miles, 857' gain
- 5k Fun Run and Hike : 2.76 miles, 448' gain
The 1/2 Marathon course includes a singletrack descent on Westridge; the 10k follows Dirt Mulholland to a turnaround at the Nike Tower; the 5k is an out-and-back intended for a broad range of participants. The event is part of the SoCalTrail Trail Half Series and follows series scoring and awards procedures.
Participant amenities include a soft or tech race shirt, unique finisher medals, free course photography, same-day results, pre-race coffee, a vegan-friendly taco breakfast, a 21 plus beer garden, sponsor giveaways, finish-line announcers with live DJs, professional medical support and sports massage services. Half-marathon winners in the men’s and women’s categories receive $500 each. The event runs cupless and includes a canned food drive with donations collected for the West Valley Food Bank.
