Dorney Lake Triathlon
The Dorney Lake Triathlon takes place at an Olympic venue in Windsor. The event utilizes a purpose-built lake for the swimming portion and features flat, traffic-free laps on wide roads and paths for the cycling and running segments. The course is entirely on road terrain with minimal elevation changes.
Participants can choose from several multisport formats and distances:
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 19km bike (4 laps), and 5km run.
- Standard Triathlon: 1500m swim, 38km bike (8 laps), and 10km run.
- Aquabike: Options available for those who prefer the swim and bike disciplines only.
- Relay: Team entries are permitted for the different distances.
The event provides chip-timing for all participants to ensure accurate results. The venue includes an event village with various food and drink options. Every finisher receives a unique themed medal and post-race goodies. Free race photos are also provided to all entrants. The organization utilizes marshals throughout the course to assist with wayfinding and navigation from the swim start to the final finish line.
