Thorpe Park Sprint Triathlon
The Thorpe Park Sprint Triathlon takes place within the grounds of the Thorpe Park theme park in Chertsey. This multi-sport event consists of three distinct disciplines held on a flat course, making it accessible for those new to the triathlon format or those aiming for specific time goals. The event is organized in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
The competition includes the following distances:
- 750m swim
- 20 km cycle
- 5 km run
The swim segment consists of one 750m lap in Fleet Lake, where the course is defined by six sighting buoys. The cycling portion covers a 20 km route, while the run is composed of three laps including an out and back section to reach the 5 km total. Both the bike and run courses are characterized by flat terrain.
Each discipline is marked with distance flags, and marshals are stationed throughout the venue to provide navigational assistance. Participants receive complimentary entry to the Thorpe Park Theme Park as part of their race registration. Event-specific t-shirts featuring the race logo are also available for purchase.
